One of the best small advents that Istria has to offer is the one in Poreč.This advent associates us with the simplicity of Christmas, and it can remind us that Christmas is about family and helping others. This year Poreč is offering free ice skating which is perfect for both kids and adults, combined with a rich program of concerts and plays. The advent starts on December 17th with the lighting of the Christmas lights on Matija Gubec square.

Charity events - Christmas is all about helping
1. On the 19th of December, Rovinj is organizing a charity tour. All the money earned goes to a four-year-old boy from Rovinj who has been struggling with difficult diagnoses since birth.
2. Also, from the 19th of December, you can come to Žminj to the photo booth on the Žminj tower. A part of the money goes to the care of children suffering from malignant illnesses.
3. On the 26th of December, Umag is organizing a charity marathon. All the money goes to animal shelters near Umag.
