The only restaurant directly located at the front of the promenade Riva (Obala Alda Rismonda) which really offers fantastic food. On top, they have nice waiters who get on very well with children, beautiful view of the sea and sunset. One of the rare restaurants that are run by real locals.
L’osteria Tutto Bene

They are true food artists. The owner serves the food himself and knows how to delight his guests. We had homemade pasta with seafood and for dessert Creme Brulé. If my stomach was bigger, I would have tried the whole menu - the dishes of the neighboring tables looked amazing! Meanwhile the restaurant is very popular.
Reserving your table in advance is highly recommended.

A long-established restaurant located at the other end of the promenade Riva (Obala Pina Budicina) offers tasty food. Not quite on the same refined level as the Rio Snack Bar or Tutto Bene but so good that it made it to our top 3. What we liked most was the tuna brochette in a sesame coat on sautéed vegetables.

A small and fine restaurant in industrial vintage style with a menu that is different from other restaurants. One of the few places that also serves vegan food. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, though we found the dinner menu the most refined. The "Green soufflé" dessert with pistachio and basil ice cream was especially delicious.
LAB Salad Bar

The salad bar opened in July 2022 and has definitely enriched the gastronomic offer in Rovinj. Finally, there are healthier alternatives in Rovinj - also for takeaway. We enjoyed the Acai Bowl and the pancakes with ricotta cheese.

A stylish street food bar specialised in fish burger. Our favourites from their menu are Tunaholic and Hedonist. We rarely recommend fast food, but Tunaholic deserves to be mentioned.
Fish House Rovinj

The Fish House Rovinj is a new tiny but excellent restaurant in Rovinj which has reinvented its menu: the novelties are veggie and gluten-free meals, Konro grill, and desserts. If you don't know what to try first, start with the BAO BUNS or home made gnocchi with shrimps.

Maestral

If you can't get a seat in one of our three must-go restaurants, the Maestral is a very good alternative. No haute cuisine, but an open kitchen and many places with a sea view: It is located on the waterfront next to the Maestral sailing club and offers good value for money.
Giannino

Giannino is led by the same family as the Snack bar Rio. If you like fish this is the place to order a fish plate and trust their recommendation of the day.
