Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Booking Terms") set forth the terms on which Amando d.o.o. ("Amando") will provide accommodation and other products and services at its premises ("Casa Amando" as defined below) to Guests (as defined below). By making a Booking (as defined below), the Customer agrees to abide by these Conditions.
1. DEFINITIONS
"Booking" means the reservation made by the Customer for accommodation, products, and/or services, as specified in the Booking, which is accepted by Casa Amando.
"Booking Details" refers to the specific information relating to the Booking, including, but not limited to, the number of guests, the number of rooms required, the duration of the stay at Casa Amando, and any additional products and/or services included in the Booking.
"Customer" means the individual or legal entity who makes the Booking with Casa Amando.
"Charges" refers to the amounts payable by the Customer in connection with the Booking, including but not limited to accommodation fees, taxes, and any additional services or products requested.
"Amando" means Amando d.o.o., a company registered under OIB number 63397127137, with its headquarters located at Bregovita 9, 52210 Rovinj, Croatia, which operates Casa Amando Eco Boutique House.
"Contract" refers to the agreement between the Customer and Amando regarding the Booking, incorporating these Terms and Conditions.
"Guests" means the Customer and any third parties invited by the Customer to Casa Amando in connection with the Booking.
"Casa Amando" refers to the Casa Amando Eco Boutique House, owned or operated by Amando d.o.o., as specified in the Booking.
"Website" refers to the online platforms casa.amando.hr and casaamando.book.rentl.io, which includes Casa Amando’s online booking system operated by Rentlio.
2. BOOKINGS
2.1 All reservations made at Casa Amando are subject to these Booking Terms and Conditions.
2.2 Guests may request or make reservations exclusively through Casa Amando’s official website.
2.3 When making a reservation, guests must provide valid identification details, including but not limited to their full name, residential address, contact telephone number, and email address.
2.4 At the time of booking, guests must provide valid credit or debit card details. By providing these details, the guest authorises Casa Amando to charge the card for any amounts due in connection with the reservation, including but not limited to accommodation charges, applicable taxes, and any incidental costs incurred during the stay.
2.5 A reservation is considered confirmed only when all required information has been provided and the necessary payment or deposit, as specified in the Booking Details, has been received and successfully processed by Casa Amando.
3. CHARGES & PAYMENT
3.1 The Charges shall be as displayed on Casa Amando’s Website or as quoted by Casa Amando to the Customer upon the Customer’s request for a Booking.
3.2 Unless otherwise agreed by Casa Amando, the Charges cover only the provision of accommodation at Casa Amando, and the Customer may incur additional charges, including but not limited to charges for meals, private parking, and City Tax (the “Additional Charges”).
3.3 The Customer will be informed of the amount of the Additional Charges prior to their incurrence.
3.4 Bookings shall be subject to (1) the Customer making payment of the Charges in full in advance or, at Casa Amando’s discretion, paying a booking fee and/or deposit; and (2) the Customer providing valid Debit or Credit Card details, via which payment of the Charges or the balance of the Charges (as applicable) and any Additional Charges may be taken either at Casa Amando or at the time of booking.
3.5 If not prepaid in full at the time of booking, the balance of the Charges will be automatically charged by Casa Amando in accordance with the cancellation policy set out in clause 4, from the card used at the time of making the reservation. Any Additional Charges must be paid either as they are incurred or, at Casa Amando’s discretion, upon the Customer checking out.
3.6 Casa Amando reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards without requiring written approval from the Customer.
3.7 The following payment methods are accepted by Casa Amando:

3.8 Casa Amando uses Worldline "Saferpay" for online payments. Worldline Financial Services (Europe) S.A. provides a secure system for online payments, real-time credit and debit card payments, and other payment methods. Worldline ensures secure card data entry and transfer, confirmed by the PCI DSS certificate. Worldline uses 256-bit SSL encryption and the TLS 1.2 cryptographic protocol as the highest standards of protection for data entry and transfer.
4. CANCELLATION POLICY
4.1 The cancellation policy varies depending on the rate booked. The Customer shall refer to the specific rate descriptions provided in the Booking Details for full terms and conditions.
4.2 Rates marked as “FIRM - free cancellation before 30 days” – These rates are fully refundable up to 30 days prior to the arrival date, minus any applicable transaction-related credit card fees. Amando requires full prepayment for the entire stay at the time of booking, with payment charged to the credit/debit card provided at the time of reservation. Refunds for cancellations made within the free cancellation period will be processed within 5 to 10 business days from the cancellation date and will be refunded to the same payment method used for the original transaction. Cancellations made after this period and non-arrivals are subject to full charges as per the original Booking.
4.3 Rates marked as “NON-REFUNDABLE” – These rates are strictly non-refundable and non-changeable. Amando requires full prepayment for the entire stay at the time of booking, with payment charged to the credit/debit card provided at the time of reservation. In the event of a cancellation, all charges applicable to that Booking remain payable in full.
4.4 Subject to clause 4.3, the Customer may cancel the Booking without charge if notice is given to Casa Amando within 24 hours of making the reservation. In such cases, Amando will refund the Customer all sums paid in advance, minus any applicable transaction-related credit card fees.
4.5 Amando reserves the right to cancel a Booking at any time if Casa Amando becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, Amando will issue a full refund of any charges and booking fees paid by the Customer.
4.6 Amando may also cancel a Booking if the payment details provided by the Customer in accordance with clause 3.4 are invalid and the Customer fails to provide alternative valid payment details upon request.
5. COMPLAINT POLICY
5.1 At Casa Amando, we take great pride in offering personalised service and are committed to ensuring that our guests have an enjoyable stay. Should any issues arise during your stay, we kindly ask that you notify us immediately, either in person, by phone, WhatsApp, or by email to [email protected].
5.2 We aim to resolve all concerns as swiftly as possible. If an immediate resolution cannot be provided, we will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 24 hours and will work diligently to resolve the matter. Each complaint will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Any goodwill gestures, including but not limited to discounts or compensation, will be at the sole discretion of Casa Amando, and refunds will not be granted automatically.
5.3 We value respectful communication and appreciate the opportunity to address and rectify any concerns that may arise.
6. CHECK IN & CHECK OUT
6.1 Special check-in instructions apply: Casa Amando operates a self-check-in system, and there is no front desk available. Guests are kindly requested to carefully review the self-check-in instructions, parking details, and smart lock access information.
6.2 Check-in time at Casa Amando: any time after 15:00 hrs. Earlier check-in may be possible upon prior request to Casa Amando; however, please note that not all services and facilities may be available before the standard check-in time.
6.3 Check-out time at Casa Amando is by 11:00 hrs. Late check-out may be arranged upon prior request and subject to availability, with an additional charge. (In the absence of such a prior request, failure to check-out by 11:00 hrs may result in the Customer being charged for an additional night’s accommodation at the applicable standard rate.)
7. CASA AMANDO RULES
7.1 Personal Information for Registration: Valid identification information must be provided at least 8 hours prior to arrival. Guests will receive a link to the online registration form via email and are kindly asked to submit the required details for each person staying at Casa Amando, including children.
7.2 Guest Behaviour: Guests are expected to behave in a respectful and responsible manner, and ensure that their visitors do the same while staying at Casa Amando. Any behaviour that disturbs other guests may result in the Guest being asked to leave Casa Amando. In such cases, all Charges and Additional Charges will become immediately payable by the Guest.
7.3 No Smoking: Smoking is prohibited inside Casa Amando and is only permitted in the designated outdoor smoking area.
7.4 Damage: The Customer is liable for any loss or damage caused to Casa Amando by the Guest or their visitors. The Customer may be charged for the reasonable costs of repairing, cleaning, or replacing any property of Casa Amando that is damaged, soiled, or lost by the Guest.
7.5 No Pets: Pets are strictly prohibited at Casa Amando.
7.6 Children & Minors:
(1) Casa Amando does not accept bookings from individuals under the age of 18. All minors must be accompanied and supervised by an adult over 18 years old. Failure to comply with this policy will result in an automatic cancellation of the booking without a refund.
(2) Extra baby cots are available upon request for certain room types, subject to availability.
8. FOOD & DRINK
8.1 Unless otherwise agreed by Casa Amando, the Charges do not include any food or beverages.
8.2 Guests are welcome to enjoy coffee, tea, milk, olive oil, spices, and other essentials provided in the communal kitchen at no additional cost.
9. ACCESSIBILITY
9.1 Due to its location in the historic Old Town of Rovinj and the architectural constraints of the heritage-protected building, Casa Amando is not fully accessible to guests with mobility or other disabilities. One room is located on the ground floor with no stairs, while all other rooms and apartments are accessible only via stairs, as there is no lift.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
11. FORCE MAJEURE
11.1 Casa Amando shall not be liable for any failure to perform or for delays in the performance of its obligations under the agreement, and shall not be required to pay compensation, if such failure or delay is caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any event or circumstance beyond its reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, floods, earthquakes, terrorism, fires, disruptions in utility services (such as power, gas, water), failure or breakdown of plant machinery, computers, vehicles, or structural collapse.
12. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
12.1 This Contract, as well as any non-contractual obligations arising in connection with it, shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Croatia.
12.2 Any disputes arising in connection with this Contract, including those relating to non-contractual obligations, shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Croatian courts.
12.3 Each party irrevocably waives any right to object to proceedings being brought before the Croatian courts, whether on the grounds of inconvenient forum or any other reason.
13. PERSONAL INFORMATION
13.1 All personal data collected, stored, and processed by Amando is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. GENERAL
14.1 The Customer’s rights as a consumer under applicable consumer protection laws shall remain unaffected by these Booking Terms.
14.2 Amando may transfer its rights and obligations under the Contract to another entity, but will always notify the Customer if this occurs. This will not affect the Customer’s rights under the Contract.
14.3 Amando may update or amend these Booking Terms without prior notice. However, the version of these Booking Terms in effect at the time of the booking will continue to apply to the Contract. Customers are advised to check Amando’s website for the latest version of these Booking Terms prior to making a booking.
14.4 Any failure by Amando to enforce these Booking Terms shall not constitute a waiver of the right to subsequently enforce that provision or any other provision of these Booking Terms. Such failure shall not be deemed to waive any prior or subsequent breach and shall not constitute a continuing waiver.
14.5 If any provision of these Booking Terms is determined by a competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, the validity of the other provisions of these Booking Terms and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.
